School determines they have a problem based on their standards and legal guidelines. The school MUST maintain detailed documentation on all events in case court intervention is needed.
School meets with parents and students and tries to solve the problem. If this fails after a reasonable time.
Intervention meeting can be scheduled with school personnel, parents student and Court staff.
If no documented improvement occurs school should present their detailed documentation to the prosecutors office for a petition which will start the court process.
Schools should be sure to follow advice from their legal counsel in the area of discipline and suspension and not ask the court for guidance in this area.
